As-salaamu'alaikum
*A Sincere Advice*
I observe recently that brothers that are ordinarily advocates of *i'tibaa (following based on evidence)* are gradually 'loose-guarding'!
They tend to give in to protecting their 'egos' and finding it hard to avoid being 'muqalid-dun' (blind-followers).
No insult is intended as this writer is also not exempted from this observation! The advice is that: *Let's learn the culture of 'p-chatting' ourselves to clarify or even correct issues we might be having with ourselves*.
The injunction of not correcting leaders publicly so as not to harden theirs hearts and thereby turning them against the governed is also applicable here.
This is because it is discovered that a brother who could earn rewards by 'jazaaing' his brother for calling out to him, instead faces his brother in argumentation.
Please, please and please, *do not hesitate to signal me once you notice my loose-guarding*. Yet I would love you do that 'privately' less 'my inner/selfish/self-inclined spirit's gets hold of me, 😂.
The fact of this weakness in us is real. Just as Allaah informs us of this in relations to Prophet Yuusuph (عليه السلام ):
*"Nor do I absolve my own self (of blame): the (human soul) certainly prone to evil, unless my Lord do bestow His Mercy: but surely my Lord is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Yusuf, 12/53)*
May Allaah ease our affairs for us fid-Dunya wal-Aakhirah, aamiin.
JazaakumuLlaahu Khairan for your audience.
