My First Nigerian New Train Experience!!!

*The New Train: Harbinger of Good Old Time...*

The train ride is hitch-free, considerably cheap and timely. Lots of businesses could be built round this transport section in making it more at ease for its patronizers.

Such endeavours could be in terms of taxi/tricycle to and fro the stations; guest houses/relaxation venues; tourist centres and the likes...

The on-train benefits are numerous. Besides the opportunity to view the beautiful scenes out there in the outskirts of our cities, the 'feel-at-home' hospitality realised with the USB Charging points, comfort stations and trash bins are up to talk.

On the part of the NRC management, I would want that the announcement at each station be made repeatedly making it even audible to those in the closets of the train. I missed my stop at Abeokuta (Wọlé Soyinka Station) today. I was forced to consider alighting at Itori 2 Station (Funmilayo Rasom Kuti Station) because I was attending to one of my daughters traveling with me on the train and couldn't hear the announcement for those alighting at the said Station.

Generally, train traveling in Nigeria would be great and would be the best in the near future for the ever exploding population Nigeria is known with if the current tempo is maintained and improved on.
